Everybody Loves Opal Cancelled

UPDATE: Out of the desire to ensure the health and safety of our audiences, cast and crew, the Hutchinson Theatre Company has made the difficult decision to cancel all performances of Everybody Loves Opal (March 26-28 and April 2-4). Those who have already purchased tickets will be contacted regarding options for a refund. The Hutchinson Theatre Company wishes to thank all who have worked so diligently to bring this play to the stage and to express our disappointment and regret that current circumstances are preventing us from presenting what would have been a wonderful show.

Opportunity Knocks….

The Hutchinson Theatre Company has been Busy!  Did you know that from 2002 – 2018, HTC has presented 50 shows to Hutchinson audiences and provided support for 6 other productions? We are now starting our 18th season of providing a quality community theatre experience to Hutchinson and surrounding communities. That is something we are very proud of but did you know we also provide opportunity!  We are in constant need of people who want to act, direct, play an instrument in a pit band, build and paint sets, locate props and costumes, run sound and lights, work on publicity and promotions, etc., etc., etc.!  And the really great news is WE CAN TRAIN YOU to fulfill any of these rolls.  We are currently seeking two (possibly three) individuals who would like to direct.

This summer we will be producing ‘Happy Days the Musical’ and need either a dramatic director/musical director or a dramatic director and a musical director.  Also we are in search of a director for the fall production of ‘Seasonal Allergies’. There is a small stipend available for directing. If interested, please email info@hutchtheatre.org or send letter or interest and/or resume to Hutchinson Theatre Company – P.O. Box 667, Hutchinson MN 55350

Cast & Ticket Sales for “Shadowlands!”

Congratulations to the new cast of “Shadowlands”!

Director, Mary Haugen, has announced the cast for HTC’s Spring Production of “Shadowlands”. We are delighted to have a mixture of returning and brand new cast members to the stage for this production.

Bill Haas as C.S. (Jack) Lewis
Tracy Hassan as Joy Gresham
Conner Krumrie as Douglas
Adam Krumrie as Major “Warnie” Lewis
Jack Bonniwell as Professor Christopher Riley
Bruce Muecke as the Rev. Harry Harrington
Bill Mose as Dr. Oakley/Priest
Brian Stark as Alan Gregg/ Doctor
Sheryl Mose as Nurse/Registra
Joe Caya as Waiter/Clerk

The story follows C.S. Lewis as he meets an American fan, Joy Gresham, whom he befriends and eventually marries. The story also deals with his struggle with personal pain and grief: Lewis preaches that one should endure suffering with patience, but finds that the simple answers he had preached no longer apply when harsh realities of life, namely illness and death, impact him personally.

Tickets will be available to the general public beginning Monday, March 4th.  Season passes are still available for purchase and you will be able to get your “Shadowlands” tickets at the same time!  Season passes offer a discount on all three productions and early access to tickets prior to the beginning of each show.

Tickets are available for purchase through the online box office or at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts (15 Franklin St SW – 320-587-7278).

Season Passes are also available for purchase through April 13, 2019 either online or at Hutchinson Center for the Arts.
